23 Tabebuia Trees Planted in Senen

Central Jakarta Administration planted 23 tabebuia trees on sidewalk of Jalan Senen Raya and Jalan Kwini I, RT 04/01 Senen Urban Village, Friday (2/7).

Central Jakarta Mayor, Arifin said the planting is part of greening and handling environmental pollution, as well as beautifying city.

He appeals society and entrepreneurs to intensify the planting at residential and office area to support Jakarta as top 20 global city.
"The arrangement of Central Jakarta concept is collaboration. It will be quicker if many stakeholders also take their part in the program," he said.
Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda explained her side only targets to plant 25 trees every week due to Central Jakarta area's width is smaller.
"Trees are important to reduce pollution impact and to beautify the city," she stated.
